Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

Have you searched our collection and found that we don’t own the book or article you want to read?

Interlibrary Loan staff can help. We will search other Illinois and out-of-state libraries to locate the title you’re looking for. Most of the time, we can borrow books from other Illinois libraries for free. Requesting a title is easy, follow these steps:

  • Please search our catalog first.
  • Use WorldCat - Find titles other libraries own and order them through Electronic ILL. By submitting an OCLC request, Patron is responsible for the payment of any fees incurred according to NPL InterLibrary Loan Policy.
  • If you don't find it anywhere then fill out our Online Interlibrary Loan Request Form to submit your request. Please make sure you have entered correct information (Including spelling).
