Readers Services at the Naperville Public Library focuses on meeting your
recreational reading and entertainment needs. We have books,
audiobooks,
music, and videos in both physical and digital formats to satisfy a variety
of personal interests. If you crave happy endings, we have romance fiction
and true stories of individuals triumphing over adversity. If you savor the
rush of adrenaline, we can connect you with an espionage novel or a recounting
of a true adventure. For the forensically minded, we have mystery stories and
true crime accounts. Regardless of your reading appetite, we have the resources
and knowledge to indulge your tastes.
Sample a tidbit of a book every day during the week by
joining one of the
Online Book Clubs. The Dear Reader service offers twelve
different clubs, including one especially for Teens, with
fiction, nonfiction, and Audiobooks content.
The library provides two databases which are both useful
for learning more about a fiction or nonfiction title, an
author, or finding similar works. The
NoveList K-8 database is perfect for children and
younger teens, while the
NoveList database for older teens and adults.
If you have a favorite adult fiction author, sign up for the
next title
they publish as a hardback novel before it is even written!
Whether you are a student working on a language arts
assignment, or a book club member preparing for a
discussion, check out our
Online Literature Resources for reviews, critiques,
or an author’s biographical information.
Although Naperville Public Library purchases most popular
items which make the best seller’s lists, we still welcome
suggestions from our patrons for less well known items
through the
Materials Purchase Suggestions form.
